Hershey Strosberg
Head Coach


Hershey Strosberg is now the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Clemson after a long stint with the University of Virginia. During his time at Virginia, which began in February of 2001, he served as the Cavaliers' recruiting coordinator, bringing in five top-10 recruiting classes during his seven seasons. During this time, the Cavalier team won the program's first ACC title, finished in the national top 10 five times and advanced to the NCAA Tournament all seven seasons, including a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 and an eighth-place final national ranking in 2007.

While at Virginia, Strosberg helped lead team and individual training and served as the goalkeepers coach. He performed daily administrative operations and managed team travel and the team's operating budget. He was also the co-director of Soccer Centers of Excellence camps.

Prior to working as an assistant at Virginia, Strosberg was a women's assistant coach at his alma mater, Cortland College, in Cortland, NY from August 1998 to December 1999. Cortland finished in the top 24 nationally in NCAA Division III both seasons. At Cortland, Strosberg worked with the goalkeepers and field players and assisted with daily administrative tasks and recruiting operations.

Strosberg has been a staff coach in the U.S. Youth Soccer Association's Region I program since 1996, and served as the head coach for the U-14 and U-17 age groups in 2005 and 2006. He has been an observer for the U.S. Men's and Women's World Cup teams and the U.S. Men's and Women's National Teams on several occasions.

Strosberg played professionally for the USISL's New York Capital District Alleycats in Albany, NY from 1993-1996. He represented the United States at the U.S. Maccabiah Games in Israel in 1997 and was an alternate on the team in 1993. Strosberg was named a Regional All-American at Cortland College, where he played in 1995 and 1996.

Strosberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Cortland College in 1997. He completed his Masters degree in Physical Education with a concentration in sports psychology and coaching in 1999. He holds a U.S. Soccer "A" License and a U.S. Soccer National "Y" License, as well as an NSCAA Premier Diploma.



Todd Shulenberger
Assistant Coach


Todd Shulenberger is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Clemson women's soccer program. Shulenberger serves as the team's recruiting coordinator and budget manager and is an assistant director of Clemson's women's soccer camp program. He works with the Tiger goalkeepers but also works closely in all areas of team and individual practice sessions.

Shulenberger served an assistant coach on former Clemson head coach Todd Bramble's staff in 2007. He came to Clemson from Atlanta, GA, where he served as the Director of Coaching for the TopHat Soccer Club from 1997-2007. While with TopHat, Shulenberger directed player development and staff and served as the club's College Placement Advisor. He organized and directed all camps and clinics as well as the club's indoor soccer operations. Shulenberger was also the head coach of U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 girls' teams for TopHat. His U-16 team was the Georgia State Champion in 2006 and his U-18 team won the state championship in 2007 and was the Region III Premier League runner-up in 2006.

In 2003 and 2004, Shulenberger was an assistant women's soccer coach at Georgia State University in Atlanta. While working with the Panthers' program, he prepared and conducted practices and assisted in games. He also performed many recruiting functions and organized the team's travel.

Shulenberger graduated from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA with a degree in marketing in 1994. He was a member of the Colonial soccer team from 1990-94 and led the 1993 squad to an NCAA Division I Tournament appearance. Shulenberger played professionally for the Canton Invaders of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) in Canton, OH from 1994-96.



Kristen Weiss
Assistant Coach


Kristen Weiss is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Clemson women's soccer program. She serves as the team travel coordinator and is the coordinator and assistant director for Clemson's women's soccer camps. Weiss works primarily with the forwards and midfielders along with all areas of team and individual practice sessions.

Weiss spent the 2007 season working at her alma mater as an administrative assistant with the University of Virginia women's soccer program, where Strosberg was an assistant coach. During this time, Weiss assisted in on-campus visits with prospective student-athletes and their families. She was responsible for planning and organizing alumni events and team banquets and assisted with the planning, preparation and instruction at Virginia soccer camps. She also maintained the program's compliance reports in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations.

Weiss served as an assistant coach for the U-14 and U-16 girls' teams with the Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albemarle in 2007. She has been an instructor at several youth soccer camps, including the University of Virginia, Christopher Newport University and Bowdoin College. She holds a USSF National "D" Coaching License.

Weiss played for Virginia from 2002-06, scoring 10 goals and 11 assists for her career. She was named to the ACC All-Tournament team in 2004, the year that the Cavaliers won their first conference title in school history. Weiss competed for the full United States National Team in 2001 and was also a member of the U-16, U-17 and U-19 Women's National Teams.
